As believers we believe that partnering with a local church is not only important, but if we look at the Gospel, it is what God calls us to. That is why we are taking this opportunity to look at our partner course, Linked, and why you may want to partner with us.
What it is
LINKED happens twice a year over the course of two consecutive Tuesday nights where we share a delicious meal together. At these evenings we share a bit about our history, what we believe, and how we believe we are called to partner together in impacting our city and our world for Jesus.
Here at Life Changers we use the word “partner” instead of the word “member” because we find it to be a more biblically accurate term that describes how we are called to function together as the body of Christ. In his New Testament letters, Paul uses the words “partnership in the Gospel” when speaking of this, and it’s to this description that we feel lead to call people to.
We outline our vision, values and what we believe God has called us to as Life Changers, and most importantly what it will mean for someone to partner with us in this unfolding local church story.
We are unashamedly passionate about Jesus Christ, His church and the mission to make disciples of all nations, and we love doing it together as friends together!
Why we do it
Bill Hybels made this poignant statement about the local church, “The local church is the hope of the world.”
Acts 2:42-47 shows us that being devoted to gathering together is important. But gathering isn’t just a being present at church, but doing life together. We do not keep an attendance register but for there to be any reality of us walking together, as partners we need to be present more often than not. That’s why we ask for not only you to be gathering with us in body and in mind but also to have the same heart as us.
Who it is for
LINKED is for anyone who is looking to officially make Life Changers their home or for those who want to know more about who we are and what we stand for. As a church community we believe in not only gathering together but doing life together, and LINKED is one of these moments.
