As we head into Women’s Month and get ready for our third Arise ladies event for the year this
August, we sat down and chatted with some of the amazing leaders who help shape Arise.
QUESTION 1: What do you love most about the Arise ladies ministry of Life Changers?
FIONA PHILLIPS: I love that it provides a place where women from all different walks of life can
encounter the love and freedom of Jesus!
MONICA TAU: Absolutely, the fact that it’s a ministry that focuses on the empowerment of all
women, from the teenager to the grandmothers (and everyone in between) is really special.
KASCHA REED: For me, it’s always been such a fantastic opportunity for women to get
together and worship without any distractions. Also to hear other women’s testimonies and get
to know each other better.
SHELLEY ANDERSON: Yes me too! The fact that Arise is a place where ladies can come to an
event just for them and hear from ladies that have battled and won victories that they may be
going through is amazing!
KRYSTLE HEDENSKOG: I love that, as ladies, we come together from different backgrounds,
cultures, and races to worship God, delve into His word, and encourage one another.
MONICA TAU: Oh yes, the praise and worship is always amazing!
QUESTION 2: What has been your favourite moment that sticks out in your mind from
one of our past Arise nights?
FIONA PHILLIPS: It’s so hard to choose because each time it feels just what I need to hear! But
I absolutely have loved all the different ladies sharing their stories of faith, wholeness & freedom
in Jesus and how despite them facing adverse and difficult conditions they’ve chosen to trust
God .
SHELLEY ANDERSON: There are so many but my personal favourite Arise has been watching
and listening to my dear friend Kath Megaw tell her incredible story of God’s redemptive grace.
Go listen to it if you haven’t heard it yet!
KRYSTLE HEDENSKOG: One hundred percent! Kath and Louise Hawes’ stories of God’s
redemptive power were spectacular. Many ladies encountered God that night because these
two women had the courage to share so openly and honestly.
KASCHA REED: Yes that night at Century City when they spoke was also incredibly
memorable for me!
MONICA TAU: The testimonies of how God has completely changed and redeemed the lives of
ladies like them and Louise Swarts powerful story impact ladies immensely!
QUESTION 3: Arise always has some fun and crazy moments. What is the craziest one
that comes to mind for you that always gives you a chuckle?
FIONA PHILLIPS: Seeing ladies “shake it off” to Taylor Swift with an empty tissue box filled
with ping pong balls behind their back!
KASCHA REED: I will never forget the Barbie competition!
KRYSTLE HEDENSKOG: The Mariaan and Suzelle DIY skit done by Michael and Tyler – So
funny!
SHELLEY ANDERSON: The moment that made me laugh the most was watching Keziah and
Desi trying to blow cups over using party blowers.
QUESTION 4: If someone has never come to an Arise night, what would you say to them
to get them to come?
MONICA TAU: Come to Arise, you won’t regret it. There’s nothing to lose but everything to gain.
It’s a space where we can just enjoy being in the presence of the Lord and friends. The Lord
meets you where you are at.
FIONA PHILLIPS: It will be one of the best experiences of your life! You will not regret saying
yes and taking a step of faith into the unknown to experience the presence of God.
KASCHA REED: If you are needing some space for fun, fellowship and spiritual food – come!
KRYSTLE HEDENSKOG: Arise night is an incredible Ladies Ministry event where we come
together to worship, have fun, and connect on a deeper level. There are always exciting prizes
to be won, Fun to be had, and profound moments spent delving into God’s word. We leave
feeling encouraged and uplifted by inspiring speakers and powerful testimonies that make a
lasting impact. It’s not just an event; it’s an opportunity to encounter Jesus and build meaningful
connections with other women. Join us and experience the joy and transformation that Arise
night brings!
SHELLEY ANDERSON: My encouragement to ladies that have never been to an Arise event is
to just come. As Monica said, you have nothing to lose and everything to gain. God is in all our
stories and taking a step of faith to come to an Arise event could be life changing. You don’t
have to do life alone
