As this year races towards it’s end, our kids are also gearing up for some big exams or getting into seasonal sports matches and may find themselves a little worn out, or they may be a little antsy after a full year of new challenges, and need some time to let off steam.
Here are a few ways we’re gearing up at LifeKidz to help our kids finish strong:
SUPERHERO SUNDAY
This past Sunday, at LifeKidz at all congregations, we had a stellar time celebrating the stuff that makes our kids remarkable and reminding them that Jesus is the ultimate Superhero! They did all kinds of SUPERHERO TRAINING activities, using up all their energy and indulging in some well-deserved treats as they obliterated a few piñatas, while the littlies showed off their SUPERHERO SKILLS by making light work of an obstacle course!
Theme days are special times for kids. Keep a look out for more of them to come in the near future.
REFRESHING READS
Maybe, like us, you could use a few pointers on how to manage time better? Terran Williams, author of The Dad Dude, often cracks open some topics to which we can all relate, so that this time next year you and your family feel a little less like you all rolled off a moving truck. Here’s a great read about making the most of time with your kids to get you started in the right direction.
It’s not easy always easy raising our kids, watching them stumble can often be difficult as parents, but it’s worth it…
They learn that kindness takes courage.
They understand that humility is strength.
The believe that they can do all things through Christ who strengthens them!
Kids are made of some pretty tough stuff, so with a few months left of 2018, let’s help them see their own mettle and finish this year strong!
With courage in our hearts,
The LifeKidz Team.
