We are stepping into a new season and a new day for Life Changers church. As our church continues to grow with amazing person after amazing person being added to our story, we are needing to make room in our hearts for the more God has for us.
This has lead us to make the decision that from the 13th of May we will be moving from one Table View morning service to two, at 8:30 and 10:30 respectively. This is a year of faith for us as a church and God has clearly called us to ‘Move the Mountains’. And it is with this at the forefront of our minds that we believe He is calling us to pioneer again and trust Him in this new season.
There is tremendous life in our Table View morning meeting which has seen our parking overflowing, our Life Kidz ministry brimming with children, and it becoming increasingly difficult to find a seat in our main auditorium. These are all signs of life and growth, but we believe that God has called us to make room for more.
So here are three important reasons as to why we are making this change:
1. Making Room for Salvations
As a church we’ve been blessed to see so many salvations in and around our meetings and are wanting to provide more opportunities for people to encounter the life-changing message of Jesus Christ. We have fought for an invitational culture, where people are comfortable to bring their friends, and we are trusting for even more in this area.
A second morning meeting at our Table View Campus is another opportunity for us as a church family to invite more friends and family as we more and more become the best church for our city. We are trusting for more life, more salvations and more of what only God can do.
2. Making Room to Serve
We believe that saved people serve people, so that served people become saved people. People matter and we want to be a community that serves people well. Not only do we believe that people being served is important, but we also believe that the act of serving is essential for us to become more like Christ.
Just as when we planted our Milnerton congregation two years ago, we saw dormant and unexercised gifts stand up and step out in faith. Whether it was on a parking team, hosting or even on the barista team, we wanted to create opportunities for people to serve.
We are blessed to be a church of incredible people, with an abundance of gifts, and we see this as an opportunity to serve our city better.
3. Making Room to See
We want to be a church who are not only welcoming, but who also truly sees people. What we mean by this is that we want to reach and pastor people well. Just as we’ve made room in our hearts, we want to make more room so that we can care for our people better.
We don’t want to be a community of people slipping in and out but one where people gather and do life together. We see this as an opportunity to see God do amazing things in peoples’ lives and take us deeper on our journey of following Christ together.
We are excited. Let’s trust God for new days and new things.
When we create space God will fill it.
